We have lately seen YS Jagan Mohan Reddy giving some election manifesto credibility to the politics of the country. Now, under the above scheme, the state government of AP is bound to provide financial aid to different minority classes through its well known “YSR Kalyanamasthu” program.

On the other hand Muslims are bound to get the aid through “YSR Shaadi Tohfa” program, These financial privileges have been launched by the YSR Congress party. This is done primarily to help low income group families in finding suitable matches for their daughters.

 

May 6th Update: As per an update, the AP CM preferably registered Rs 87 Crores for the YSR Shaadi Tohfa and YSR Kalyanamasthu.

As per the above update that has come to light, the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has allocated Rs 87 crore for the YSR Kalyanamasthu scheme and the YSR Shaadi Tohfa scheme. This is expected to help up to 12,132 eligible females who are about to get married in the quarter of January-March 2023.

Those who come from the minority sections of the society can easily avail the above scheme. The amount in the form of the financial aid is directly credited to their respective bank accounts.

For example, the YSR Shaadi Tohfa scheme has been launched to help Muslim women use money for their weddings. And so, the YSR Kalyanamasthu scheme was launched to provide a viable financial support to the daughters of poor and under privileged families of the state.

 

The basic goal of the above scheme is also to modify parents’ attitudes by educating their children. This can be done by making Class 10 necessary for program implementation apart from giving them financial support for the wedding purpose.

  • ST and SC beneficiaries are going to get a financial aid of Rs 1.2 lakh if they have an inter-caste marriage
  • BC beneficiaries will get a sum of Rs 75,000 for inter-caste marriage
  • BCs will get Rs 50,000
  • A sum of Rs 40,000 will be provided for up to 2 construction workers for marriage
  • Disabled or handicapped will get 1.5 lakh

  • BC/ SC/ ST/ Minorities (other than Muslims), Handicapped
  • The minimum age should be 21 years for boys and 18 years of girls who like to marry each other
  • The minimum education criteria will be SSC
  • They should not have total land holdings of 10 acres in dry land
  • The total earnings of such families should not exceed over 10,000 per month (rural areas) and 12,000 (urban areas)
  • There must be less than 30o units of power consumption
  • They should not have anyone in the family taking a pension
  • They should not have a 4-wheeler automobile
  • Children of these families should not be tax payers
