In order to avoid and safeguard public interest at large, SSC has taken an initiative to postpone the current Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Exams (Tier-I) dates for the year 2019 which will be applicable from March 20, 2020.

SSC CHSL Exam Date 2020
Earlier, the CHSL exam was conducted only from March 17 to March 19, 2020.

SSC CHSL Application Fee

- Please note that the application fee applicable will be Rs 100 only.
- There will be a fee exemption for female, physically handicap persons, SC, ST along with Ex-Servicemen who do not have to pay any fee for the exam.
- Candidates need to pay the required fee only through SBI Net Banking or in the form of Challan. They can also pay the required fee through credit or debit card as well.
- Other than all the above methods, candidates are also able to pay the required fee by cash. But for that, they need to produce the copy of the print out of Challan. They can do this after the completion of the registration of the part I exam.
- Those who are interested in paying the fee online need to go through the part 2 registration and produce the proper registration number along with the valid date of birth.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: It’s the very first criteria where a candidate must be either:
- An Indian citizen
- a subject of Bhutan
- a subject of Nepal or

- He can also be someone who migrated to countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma or some other countries in spite of having an Indian origin.
Age Criteria
If a candidate is keen to apply for SSC CHSL exam, he needs to be aged between 18-27 years as on 01-01-2020.
It simply means the candidates should have been born not before January 1, 1993 and not later than January 1, 2002.

Educational Qualification
Those who are willing to write SSC CHSL 2020 exam for the post of LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG), they must have passed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination only from a recognised university or board.
As far as the posts of Data Entry Operator (DEO) are concerned, the minimum educational qualification for the same will be a 12th Standard pass out in science and Maths stream.
They should have passed the mandatory qualification only from a recognised university or board.

The first students need to deal is with English that covers loads of things to do like Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, One word substitution, Spot the Error, Comprehension Passage, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Idioms & Phrases, Cloze Passage, Cloze Passage and more.
General Awareness
This generally involves questions containing both non-verbal and verbal type. It comprises various questions like Figural Pattern-folding and completion, Word Building, Semantic, Analogy, Critical Thinking, Embedded figures, Venn Diagrams, Figural Classification, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Embedded figures, Number Series, Punched hole/ pattern folding and some more items.
Quantitative Aptitude

Algebra
Candidates should be well versed with all the very basic algebraic identities of School Algebra along with basic elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Trigonometry
Candidates should have the knowledge of Trigonometric ratios, general Trigonometry rules, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2 𝜃 + Cos2 𝜃=1 and more.
General Awareness & Intelligence
Candidates are expected to have the required knowledge of general awareness as questions are specifically designed to test their knowledge for the same.

Candidates need to understand that SSC CHSL is going to be a descriptive exam designed specifically to test their basic knowledge and written skills in Hindi or English language.
For example, the exam will comprise an essay writing of 200-250 words along with a letter or comprehension writing of 150-200 words.
The minimum qualifying marks in Tier I of the above exam will be of 33 percent. The marks obtained in the tier 1 exam will be included to prepare the overall merit list.
