Khelo India University Games 2023: It’s for the first time in Uttar Pradesh (UP) that Khelo India University Games will be organized. It’s going to be a 10-day multisport tournament which is expected to commence from May 25. The event will be Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
On the occasion of hosting the Khelo India University Games in UP, the Chief Minister of UP released some guidelines to be followed by officials to provide security to players to both players and spectators. He also announced special security arrangements for female athletes.
After the players return from these games, he insisted that players should get a positive impression of the state. The CM is expected to announce the entire schedule of the games ones he gets the consent from all sides.
The Khelo India University Games will be held in 4 towns of Uttar Pradesh (UP). These states include Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorapkpur, and Gautam Budh Nagar. Out of the above, Lucknow is going to host as many as 10 sporting events.
In addition to the above, the Babu Banarasi Das (BBD) University will host the archery competition. Similarly, Mallakhamb and Judo events will be held on the main fields of BBD University. Latly, fencing and volleyball events will take place in the indoor arena of Ekana Sportz City.

Khelo India University Games
You might remember that one of the Indian states Odisha hosted the Asian Athletics Championships and Men’s Hockey World Cup. These games attracted various Indian sports persons which was a national multi-sport tournament.
The very first Odisha sports event was made memorable which lasted from 22nd until March 1st, 2020. Also, the The first Khelo India University Games were held in the year 2020.
The 2nd sports event was unfortunately postponed in 2021 but was finally held in 2022. And so, the 3rd sporting event is going to be held shortly. In this document, we will include the games listed in the table.
Khelo India University Games 1st Edition
The sporting event that was held in 2020 was held from February 22 to March 1. The entire event included 211 sports. Different sporting events were held at Cuttack at the SAI International Residential School.
It was also held in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, the SAI-Odisha Badminton Academy, and the JNL Indoor Stadium. The event was so huge that almost 4000 athletes participated from 176 institutions.
The sporting event witnessed as many as 206 gold medals, 206 silver medals, and 286 bronze medals.

Khelo India University Games Objectives
