CUET-PG 2026–27 Registration Process Kicks Off, Central University VC Confirms

CUET-PG 2026–27 latest update is that the last date to submit your application will be January 14, 2025 against which the exams will be conducted in March 2026

 

 

The last date to fill application for the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Post Graduate exam has been declared. Those who wish to sit for the exam to be held in March 2026 need to fill forms latest by January 14, 2026. The CUET-PG exam will be held for the session 2026-27 which has already been kick off from December 14, as per the the VC (Vice-Chancellor) of Karnataka, Battu Satyanarayana.

Prof. Satyanarayana who recently held a press confrence in this regard clearly stated that the upcoming exam will be a Computer Based Test to be designed by tha NTA (National Testing Agency). Those who are intrested need to submit their applications via online mode up to January 14, 2026.

The process to apply in the above exam has been made easy as the students can do the same via landing on the NTA websites www.nta.ac.in, or https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.

In case, candidates need to have more details before filling and submitting their aplication forms, they can always get more information regarding this by visiting the university portal www.cuk.ac.in.

Please note that candidates who are going to fill the CUET-PG exam forms need to submit the required fee on or before January 14 itself. The university will give time to make corrections on their online applications directly on the concerned website from January 18 to January 20, 2026.

The examination center names will be communicated to candidates on a later date. They can download their admission cards afterwards directly from the NTA website. As mentioned earlier, the CUET-PG exam will be conducted in March 2026.

 

CUET-PG Seats Allocation

Prof. Satyanarayana, in his press conference held yesterday stated that CUET-PG exam will be primarily conducted for all Central Universities along with some other top notch universities across India. There are up to 30 PG programmes against which 5 new programmes have been added by CUK which will be applicable for the current academic session.

These courses include M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, M.Sc.in Data Analytics, Statistics, Zoology, and Botany, and M.A. in Library and Information Science;

For most programmes, the maximum seats allocated are up to 30. On the other hand, there are some other courses as well for which seats allocated are different. For instance, both B.Ed, and M.Ed are allocated 50 seats each, MBA has 60 seats. For M.Tech programmes, the university will fill up to 50% of seats through CUET-PG exam and the remaining seats will be filled through GATE exam.

 

CUET-PG Eligibility

CUET-PG exam eligibility was often announced by prof. Satyanarayana, who disclosed in his press conference that students who are currently pursuing the 6th semester of their Undergraduate exams and those who are about to appear in the 5th semester exams will be eligible to apply.

He also made a remark that out of the total number of seats in the CUET-PG exam, 3 seats will be made reserved for those who hail from Kalyana Karnataka region and another 3 seats to those who belong to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Please note that CUET-PG exam will be conducted around 292 centers out of those 16 centers will be outside the country. However, in the Karnataka region, the above exam will be held in 15 centers including Ballari and Kalaburagi regions.

Those who were present in the meeting include Public Relations Officer Dr. Ganapati Sinnoor, Controller of Examinations Dr. Kota Sai Krishna, and Registrar R.R. Biradar.
